Geocache Description:

A three stage multi along the Buttermilk Creek Trail in Reston.

Did you hear about the little fortune teller who was sent to prison? Yesterday he escaped --- There's a small medium at large - kind of like this cache.
This multi will take you along the Buttermilk Creek Trail a portion of which is the western boarder of Lake Fairfax Park. It is a natural trail with abundant wildlife (Deer, hawks, copperheads, squrrills, birds and maybe a bald eagle)
All parts of the cache are on Reston Association Land near the trail, but Do not hunt this cache at night as part of the trail is shared with Lake Fairfax Park which prohibits night activities.

The stream near the start is actually Colvin Run which flows into the north end of Lake Fairfax. If you follow the trail it will take you along Buttermilk Creek which flows into the west end of the Lake. From the final you might choose to take a hike over the new bridge and around Lake Fairfax, or continue to the end of buttermilk trail which would take you out near the start of Woof Woof (GC2R73J). The whole circle is about 1.6 miles.
A few cautions: Watch for copperhead snakes there have been some in the area. There is Poison Ivy but it can be avoided. Do not hunt at night.
Stage one: a micro with instructions for stage 2(no need to get near Poison Ivy)
Stage Two: Release any Monkeys you find. DO NOT MOVE OR DAMAGE THE CONTAINER just remove the lid. information for the final is inside.
Stage Three: This one should be an easy/

NOTICE:
Part of this trail is in Lake Fairfax Park. Please be respectful of the posted park hours. If you enter the park after hours you are trespassing. If you are stopped you can be ticketed or arrested and will put the future of geocaching in the parks in jeopardy.
