Geocache Description:

Photobucket

Hedge Hopper has been caching since 2003. I didn’t start caching until 2005, and met him later that year. Since then he has filled me with stories about how caching used to be.

Apparently, there were no micros. There were no film canisters hidden under lamp posts. There were no micros in the woods. Nobody even knew what a nano was! All caches were ammo cans. They were ten mile bushwhacks. Uphill…both ways!

They didn’t have no stinkin’ iPhones. They didn’t even think about logging from the field. They wrote real logs from their Desktop PCs at home. No log started out with, “One of 500 found today…”

Back then, there was PAPER! You printed out cache pages. You printed out maps. You carried around a book to find the five caches that published since last week!

They didn’t have atttibutes. You figured that there were thorns, snakes and poison ivy at every single cache. Because they were all in the woods.

This is a tribute to days gone by. No, it isn’t 10 miles uphill…both ways. But it is a nice little walk with a regular size container at the end.

Please understand that this cache page was written tongue in cheek. I love geocaching as much today as when I started. I find plenty of caches that I enjoy! I figure each cache is someone’s favorite cache!

You must actually sign the log in order to log it as a find online.

Please do not replace my cache if you cannot find it. If you can't find it, log a DNF, and I will check on it and maintain it as soon as I can.

If you have problems with the cache, please let me know via PM or a note on the cache page.
