The quarry is a source of Tapley Hill bluestone and has been
used in the construction of some heritage-listed buildings in SA.
Access to this quarry has been maintained in the current management
plan so the stone may be strictly mined for the purpose of
conserving these buildings.
The cache is in the quarry and will require a small climb.
It will need to be approached from the east. There
are tracks which lead to the quarry from both South Road and the
Western side of the park.
A small dam does gather water at the foot of the quarry during
winter.
The cache is a small Sistema container and only holds small
swaps.
