Wandle on the Wild Side Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MrAndMrs_Smith: This one was never the same without the tree - I guess I'll start looking for somewhere else good to hide a cache in the area.

Geocache Description:

The River Wandle is a river in southeast England. The names of the river and of Wandsworth are thought to have derived from the Old English "Wendlesworth" meaning "Wendle's Settlement". The river runs through southwest London and is approximately 9 miles (14 km) long. It passes through the London Boroughs of Croydon, Sutton, Merton, and Wandsworth to join the River Thames on the Tideway at Wandsworth.

Though the Wandle may be beautiful and often tranquil, this introduction to it may be anything but. Please remember to take care and that visiting this cache is at your own risk. There may be some 'fence clamboring', but the land on both sides seems to be public.
