motorcycle team bremen: There are major building activities ongoing. A new access road is build and some of the derilict houses have been teared down including the cache location.

The cache can be archived as right now it´ is not clear waht is actually happening there.

Geocache Description:

Cache is placed in the lost village/monastery of Pelepenitsas. You should be equipped with long trousers, solid shoes and enough water if you want to go for this one.....

This cache is far of the beaten tracks and you need to invest some time, driving and walking to get it.
From Aegio you need to head with your car towards Petrovouni and Kounina. After you passed Kounina the road will turn into a gravel road and you will come to a crossing where you will find a quite rosted sign saying "Iera Moni Pelepenitsas" from that point the road goes in quite steep serpentines downwards. The point where you have to park your car latest is N38°10.563 E022°00.841 (I would recommend only 4x4 to go that far).
From that point you need to walk around 10-15min to reach the cache (Be aware, the road you have to walk was destroyed by avalanches but its not a problem to go there by feet).
The cache is hidden close at one of the first houses of Pelepenitsas settlement which was destroyed and left after the big fires in 2006. After you found the cache you can walk through the settlement and try to reach the church which you will find opposite of the cache place (you need to pass by the big fig tree somehow). Be extremely carefull when you walk through the settlement, nature takes back the place fast!
This is defintively not a cache for small children.
