The original Black Cap cache has been missing for some time and since this is such a beautiful spot, here is another to find.
Parking and trail head are on Hurricane Mt. Rd. There are alternate trails to the summit, but this is the most direct route.
Hurricane MT. road is a very steep and winding road that is closed for the winter.
This is a rewarding hike with spectacular 360 degree views at the summit ledges. The cache is on the summit, which is at 2370 ft. elevation and about a mile hike from the parking location.
The trail is easy to follow with trail signs on the way up. A nice family hike, bring your bug spray and a lunch and enjoy the views.
