I have been a member since September 2009. I now have 777 finds, 12 FTF’s, and I have completed the Binthair challenge. Are these remarkable statistics? Not really, I am just another geocacher. Why should I mention this stuff then? Well it is all because of my brother, Cattman4.
Cattman4 started caching back in March 2009. It was an activity where he and his kids could spend some quality time together.
My brother introduced me to caching while we were both in B.C. visiting our Dad. After I got home I forgot all about Geocaching. Skip ahead to late summer 2009. My brother calls me and asked if I wanted to borrow his GPS and try out Geocaching. After a quick lesson on using the GPS and setting up my account, I was on my way. In the early days, there were a few calls in frustration about what I had missed. Soon after I had my own GPS and I was on the trails. A month later Cattman4 lent me his GPS a second time when mine was in the shop for repairs.
To my brother “Thank You”. Thank you for giving me a hobby that keeps my mind active, that gets me out from behind my computer, and helps me find some wonderful sites. We may not talk much but it is always a comfort to know that you are there.
