Geocache Description:

The above coordinates ARE the location of the cache. However, to log this cache as a find you must meet the “Challenge” requirements documented below. The cache is overlooking a beautiful view to remind us of what we have. Please beware of muggles and our slithery friends. Parking is available nearby.

My latest challenge regarding disasters brings “my work home with me”. Over the past dozen or so years I have learned more than I could ever want too about natural and “man-made” Disasters. So, hopefully in finding this challenge it will enlighten you as well as make you think. If nothing else, hopefully this series of caches will remind you that a disaster can strike at any time and help you better prepare yourself for when such a time presents itself.

Your job is to find at least 15 caches with a type of Disaster in the name of the cache. It is as simple as that… oh wait… it is not that simple. In addition to finding 15 different Disasters please find at least (5) different types of caches or categories (icons) when posting your finds. (Traditional, Multi, Unknown, Letterbox, Web, Virtual, Events. etc). This gives the challenge that extra star boost to the difficulty.

I am listing Twenty-some APPROVED Disasters you can choose from. They are:

EARTHQUAKE, FIRE, FLOOD, TSUNAMI, VOLCANO, UNREST (CIVIL), LANDSLIDE (MUDSLIDE), STORM (THUNDERSTORM), CYCLONE, TORNADO, BLIZZARD, DROUGHT, AVALANCHE, HURRICANE, FAMINE, HEAT, COLD, CBRNE (CHEMICAL, BIOLOGICAL, RADIOLOGICAL, NUCLEAR, EXPLOSIVE), NUCLEAR (RADIATION), TYPHOON, EPIDEMIC, WIND STORM

You may use the plural of the Disaster but you must use fifteen DIFFERENT disasters. You may also send me “OTHER” Disasters that are not on this list. I may or may not allow them. You have no time limit on finding the caches. In fact, you may have already completed the cache requirements. But, if you haven’t… now you have some target caches to find.

When logging this cache, list your requisite caches on the cache page with the cache name, gc#, date found, and type of cache as identified below:

Stop Because of FIRE (GC2H6EK) 11/15/10 (MULTI)
