Geocache Description:

This is a cache that was created to be part of the Gauteng Power Series (GPS). The Gauteng Power Series (GPS) was created to offer Cachers the opportunity to achieve personal caching goals by using Grand Personal Selection (GPS) to decide how to hunt and find these caches, all in one day, or one by one over a period of time. Remember to Go Physically Safely (GPS) when you Grope, Peek and Search (GPS)

As this stretch of the (GPS) is near the Lanseria Airport, we thought a plane theme is in order.

Douglas DC-3

The Douglas DC-3 is an American fixed-wing propeller-driven aircraft whose speed and range revolutionized air transport in the 1930s and 1940s. Many DC-3s are still being used in all parts of the world. During World War II, many civilian DC-3s were drafted for the war effort and just over 10,000 military versions of the DC-3 were built. The total production of the DC-3 was 16,079. The DC-3 can carry 21-32 passengers and weighs 8,300 kg (empty). Its maximum speed is 381 km/h and can fly 1,650 km
