The Morris Crematorium Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Mr.Science: Unfortunately i don't live very close to Morris and my life has gotten much busier in the past five years. The geocache was in the obvious place if you know what a crematorium is. I'm sorry to archive this. It was a great original idea from June NY. It tied in nicely with all her cemetery caches. I hope someone in the Morris area can revive this cache.

Geocache Description:

I first saw this place a couple of years ago when I participated in a guided walk in this area. Some of the hikers talked about hanging out in this area when they were kids. They used to "tube" here. I don't recall what organization offered the walk, but when I saw "the crematorium" I vowed to return someday and hide a geocache here. I tried to find it again a couple of times before, without success. FINALLY, I found it!

The geocache is hidden in the General Jacob Morris State Forest. It is not far from the road. There really is not a place to park, but you can pull over along the edge of the road.

There is a beautiful creek that runs near the cache, and a nice waterfall not too far away. You might want to use bug spray before entering the woods. I think you will like this spot as much as I do!

Congratulations go to Art Fully Bare for being first to find.

April 2013 This cache had been "adopted" by Mr. Science with JuneNY's blessing, as she may be leaving the area.
