Geocache Description:

Micro, almost nearly roadside. Should be easy.

Having spent some months in a vain attempt to gain vast wealth in the mining industry in and around the Laxey valley Hill-man has come south again for a brief visit. After another failed attempt at finding the Round Table Restaurant he heads down towards Colby, where he can at least Fill the Bottle, although the Colby Glen Hotel would suit better, if it is open. On the way he stopped above Ronague, where he has heard of a magnetic hill. More chances of metallic riches? Metalliferous nonsense more like, not even a rusty nail to be found, never mind magical rocks. Ah well, back to the car and on to Colby. "Howle arn Yessir, what's the owle jalopy do'in up there, I could'a swore I leff it by this here big stone? Them l'il folks is about, I'm off afore I'm took!"
A little thought and observation would have told him it is all an optical illusion; caused by the varying slopes around, and the road being nearly level, giving the effect of apparantly facing down when you are actually facing slightly up. I can't honestly say the illusion works for me, but Hill-man is nothing if not gullible.
There is a large inscribed stone marking the general area, there is a small area just below suitable for one car, but roadside parking is fine unless the road is exceptionally busy.
Like some other of the Hill-man caches the views are excellent in fine weather, non-existant in mist or low cloud.
