A short(2 stage+final) multi-cache in Huronia Park. The coordinates above will take you to the parking area, with a very short stroll to all points in the multi... Oh, bring something to sign with, I forgot to add a pencil to the cache. Will rectify that soon!
Stage 1 takes you to a historical marker. There are two plaques on this boulder, one of them reads:
Covering a buried war hatchet
this memorial marks the peace
made here August 3rd, 1921
between the Huron
and the Iroquois
erected by
J.T. Payette
Mayor of Penetanguishene
The second plaque marks Penetanguishene's Tercentenary and lists people of historical significance to Penetanguishene. Also on the plaque are two years of significance... both to the tercentenary and this cache. XXX = Year2 - Year1 + 433
Stage 2 takes you to a cairn with another historical plaque. There is a single year contained within the text. 0YY = Year - 1766
The final cache is located at: N44°47.XXX' W79°56.0YY'
