Avfallsförbränningen i Mora har funnits och varit i drift sedan 1982 och levererar värme till Moras boende året runt. Anläggningen är bemannad 24/7 för att övervaka driften och se till att alla förbränningsparametrar stämmer för att inte släppa ut otillåtna miljövärden.
Årligen eldas 20.000ton, avfall som samlas in i Mora, Orsa,Älvdalen och Malung-Sälens kommuner.
I anslutning till Avfallsförbränningen finns även oljepannor för reserv och spetslast.
