While checking out the parks in town, I noticed that some of
them are cache free. So I decided to do something about it.
From the City of North Las Vegas Parks, Trails, and Amenities
brochure:
Theron H. Goynes Park is known throughout North Las Vegas for
its lighted baseball diamond, installed to meet the needs of the
City’s Little League teams. The facility is top rate and has
received positive feedback from residents. The park is also known
for its group shelter, which is in frequent demand, as a setting
for birthday parties and family outings. Along with the group
shelter, there are a number of individual shaded picnic pads
scattered throughout the site. The park’s walking trail,
which is slightly longer than a half mile in length, is lighted,
allowing residents to exercise in the cool evening hours. All of
these features are encircled by native plant life and a simulated
desert wash, providing a dramatic contrast to the green lawn of the
baseball diamond.
As always, you should take a pen every time you go caching.
