Geocache Description:

Hunt Club Tower

A High Steeplechase Vantage Point.

Back in 1930 on Dec. 6th the first steeple chase event was held here. There was about eight thousand people in attendance. The next year would be the last one due to financial woes and the great depression. This tower was perhaps used as a platform for scoring the racers. See the tower in the old photo.
