Justin's Power Trail Randolph CR 16 #01 *HQ*
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
It is important to read this complete description before venturing out on JustinPike Power Trail. This is where I will make any updates to important information that you may need. Failure to read, may result in failure to find. I will pay special attention to logs at this cache ONLY for ALL of the power trail. We have a facebook page ALGA GEO.
IF YOU FIND A PROBLEM WITH ANY CACHE, PLEASE EMAIL ME.
While I don't expect anyone to help maintain the caches, this is a powertrail, all help is appreciated. The majority are 35mm containers, repair or replacement of any missing caches will help the trail to always be active. If you go to PowerTrail Headquarters in town, there is a stock of supplies for anyone to help and it is appreciated. If you bring more 35mm containers or similar, the trail might even grow. Thanks everyone in advance. **************************************************************************************
ABSOLUTELY NONE OF THESE CACHES ARE ON PRIVATE PROPERTY! DO NOT CROSS FENCES, GO ONTO PRIVATE PROPERTY OR AROUND BUILDINGS, BARNS, OR HOUSES!
ALL CACHES ARE ON THE RIGHT OF WAY WITHIN EASY REACH AND ARE NEAR A SIGN, POLE OR TREE UNLESS SPECIFIED OTHERWISE IN THE HINT!
DO NOT CACHE AT NIGHT on this powertrail!
PLEASE DO NOT TRESPASS!
IT IS LEGAL TO SHOOT A TRESPASSER IN ALABAMA!

This is Randolph County Road 16. It is my first power trail and being that I am now 16 when I am placing this trail, it is the perfect road number to do it on. These caches are not meant to be hard. They are for the most part Park and Grab. There is no view meant to be seen along this route. There are some interesting things, but that is not the reason for the caches. If someone finds a reason to place a cache and it is too close to my trail caches. I will be happy to work with you on moving or deleting a cache so that you may hide your cache.
**************************************************************************************
First, let's go over a few ground rules:
1. Always pull ALL THE WAY off the road at a safe pull off point. There is one either at, before or after the cache on the same or opposite side of the road. Some will require you to walk a little ways, but it is best to be safe.
2. Always look for traffic before opening your door and getting out, when crossing the road, returning to your car or pulling out onto the road.
3. Please be aware of muggles. Some caches may be placed in view of a residence in the distance. Do not TRESPASS! None of the caches are on private property! If someone is outside or sitting on the porch, pass the cache up. Suspicious activity may result in the archiving of some caches. If you carry a caching stick and a plastic bag for trash, you can easily disappear from the minds of any muggles by appearing to be picking up cans or trash. :) Just a thought!
4. I do not recommend this for children. These caches are all 35 mm film canisters or similar. Absolutely NONE of these are on PRIVATE PROPERTY! DO NOT TRESPASS! There are a few exceptions, that are pico tubes, but not many. Bring your own pen.
5. I nor anyone else involved in caching is responsible for any accidents. You cache at your own risk, whether it be on foot, bicycle, motorcycle, helicopter, horseback, dog chain, airplane or automobile. If you are not an adult and are not able to be responsible for your own actions and any accidents, DON'T DO THESE CACHES!
6. Wear safety vests or very bright reflective colors, so that you are seen.
7. Turn on your hazard lights and pull all the way off the road at a safe spot before stopping. The speed limit on this road is 45 MPH. Neither Roanoke PD nor the State Troopers issue warning tickets. You will get a real pay for being here, doing that ticket.
8. There may be poison ivy, ticks, thorns, chiggers, spiders, ants, dogs, drunk drivers, snakes and other biting critters or plants that hurt. Difficulty may change with time of year. CARRY A FIRST AID KIT that includes at minimum: Bug Repellent, Plasters, Band Aids, Gloves, Sting Reliever (Sting Rid), Hydrocortisone Cream, Sun Tan Oil, Mace (for dogs) (we petted all but the Pit Bull at #66), Alcohol, Wasp Spray, safety buddy and plenty of water.
9. Traffic is busy in early morning or evening during traffic times 6-9 AM and 4-6 PM. Do NOT go caching on this road before 8 AM CST or after SUNSET!!! Cache QUIETLY at ALL times!
10. These containers are not completely weather proof but due to my teenage finances, I cannot afford a lot. I have placed a log sheet inside a plastic bag and then in the container. There is NO PEN OR PENCIL. I cannot afford to keep replacing baggies, if people keep ripping them and throwing them on the ground. I will have no choice but to archive this entire trail. If you come across an obvious missing or damaged cache, your repairing or replacement is appreciated. If you change the logs, please scan and email the old log to me or mail me the old logs. You may alternatively put the items you replaced at the "PikesTravel Power Trail Headquarters Station" (GC3Q4VE) provided you can find it. Please help me to help all geocachers have a fun experience by not damaging these caches. I DO check logs, if you did NOT sign the log, I will delete your entry. I really want this to be around a very very long time. I need your help.
Please replace as found and have fun!

COORDINATES NOTICE: Should coordinates show off a few feet, remember that GPSr accuracy is not 100%, you should be within 15 feet depending on your GPSr brand and quality at all times. However, the hint should make it locatable by simple sight, should weather or distance to next cache be in question. Read hint to find out where to look if in view of a home.

UPDATES:
ALERT ALL CACHES 2 to 28 = Due to rain and construction some of these may be very difficult to get to. Some may be buried or moved.
ALERT ALL CACHES -16 to -54 = These are on a dirt road that due to excessive rain may be more difficult to travel than at other times.
Number 14 = Not every cache on this trail is a P&G, some are to give you a little break and a little search, this is one of them. Good Luck.
Number 36 = Very dangerous curve! Park in dirt road and walk to cache.
Number 54 = This should be a quick P&G, there is a new person in the neighborhood, that may give you trouble if you tarry too long. Please read post and hint, get it and GO!
Number 63 = This one is in PLAIN view, hanging from a tree opposite the barn and phone box. Do NOT go on that side of the road! Do NOT climb the hill!

Missing Link Coffee Shop (Breakfast, Sandwiches, Soups, Pasta and UNUSUAL DRINKS. Downtown and open 7AM till 2PM Closed Saturday & Sunday)
Jeff's Place (good food at a good price, meat and vegetables, good steak) (Closed Sunday)
La Herradura (Mexican food open lunch 11-2 and dinner 5-9 only Closed Sunday)
Jack's Hamburgers (Best of the Fast Food places, good breakfast biscuits and food, closes at 9pm) **Justin worked here!**
Big Chic (for the best fried chicken in town, hidden behind main street on Knight Avenue Hours: 10:30-8:00 Closed Monday)
The Grapevine (This one is a drive off the course up to Woodland, but worth the drive. It is a Greek and Pizza restaurant. The Chicken Slovakia is the best, tell Alex hi)
Pizza Hut
Gedney's (Best buffet lunch in town, good food. Find a cache while you are there. Closed Monday)
Just Like Mama's (Better buffet than others, Hours: Wed & Thu 11-3, Fri 11-7, Sun 11-4 Closed Mon, Tue, Sat)
The Others:
Hong Kong King Buffet (Chinese buffet)
Sunny's Home Cooking (Ok, this is a meat and vegetable buffet, but it is run by Chinese and the cooks are Mexican and they claim they are cooking "Southern Food" Not a place I would eat, cost just under $10. Better food for 6.95 at Jeff's Place, or even Gedney's Buffet)
We also have McDonald's, Burger King, Jon Boys (BBQ) and Huddle House (they smoke in there).

Circle K In Roanoke near Randolph County portion of powertrail.
