Geocache Description:

Northwest Geocaching College. No Diva lived here. • This geocache is to honour the great Super mare Makybe Diva who won the 2005 Melbourne Cup at Melbourne's Flemington Racecourse. This was an historic victory in Australia's biggest and most famous horse race. With her 2005 win, Makybe Diva became the only racehorse to have won the Melbourne Cup three times — and in successive years. Makybe Diva's retirement from racing was announced after the running of the 2005 Melbourne Cup.

While at the cache site don’t forget to feed the nearby horses with some long grass from your side of the fence. It is possible to access this cache from 2 different car parking spots. One of the car park co-ordinates is on Quakers Hill parkway at: S 33’44.225’’ E 150’52.Car park 2 is along Richmond Road at: S 33’44.488’’ E 150’52.015’’ 359’’ Lesson # 3: Star Ratings The Star Ratings are found on Geocaching Descriptions at the top of the page. They are used to describe the Difficulty of finding the geocache and Terrain of a geocache. The star ratings start at 1 star which is the easiest to 5 stars being the hardest. Difficulty indicates, how hard it is to find a geocache. 1 star difficulty indicates the easiest geocache to find. It will usually be found easily without much searching. It may be quite an obvious find. 5 star difficulty indicates the hardest geocache to find. These caches are much more challenging and may take several attempts before they are located. They usually involve quite sneaky ways of hiding the cache. Often micros are the hardest one to find because they are so small. Multi caches add another dimension of difficulty because there is often a puzzle to solve to get the next co-ordinates. Terrain indicates, how rough and steep the ground is. 1 star terrain geocache would normally indicate flat and level clearing with the easiest approach to the cache. (Wheelchair accessible) 5 star terrain geocache would normally indicate the some sort of vertical ground and that abseiling and climbing techniques are required) Question: How many 5/5 star geocaches are there in the Sydney region? I can only think of one 5/5 star. (In extremis series) Western Sydney Parklands track starts here. Set in the heart of Western Sydney, The Western Sydney Parklands contain world class sporting facilities, popular picnic areas, a full length cycle/walking track and native bushland. Covering 5,280 hectares, the Parklands stretch 27 kilometres from Quakers Hill to Leppington and are twenty five times the size of Centennial Park. The Western Sydney Parklands are part of the NSW Government's new vision for contemporary, urban living in Western Sydney and are the perfect place to spend the day with family and friends - all without leaving your own backyard. The park is opened all hours of the day and the cache shouldn't be too hard to find.
