Geocache Description:

The huge, huge mistake in New Mexico is the overused image of a flute
player deity everyone calls “Kokopelli.” Kokopelli is ONLY a Hopi deity –
we're talking northern Arizona, folks! The correct deity for this region
is the Hump-Backed Flute Player, who is often in fertility sequences. The
Hump Back is a very powerful deity. The hump may have been a disease,
causing deformity in back and shoulders, or it may be a pack containing
trade goods from Meso-America – the so-called Pochtecas – religious
missionaries and traders rolled into one.
