This cache is located in Woolley Wood, just part of the 600 acres of mixed woodland managed by the National Trust Ranger team at Arlington Court. This cache is fairly easy to locate, and the terrain is accessible for most people. It is recommended that you wear sturdy boots to find the cache.
This Cache is not suitable for wheelchairs, and only for all terrain buggys.
When you find this cache, you'll be standing at the very heart of the Arlington Court Estate. Please do not go beyond the gate, it is there to keep the area behind quiet for the Herons who wll be nesting in the tree tops above. The best view of these birds is from the birdhide the opposite side of the lake.
Herons come to nest at Arlington Court from February untill August and make the most amazing pterodactyl sounding calls. If you need another reason for not going beyond the gates, they are known to throw up on anyone who disturbs them below.
The cache is in a small Ammo box which contains a plastic envelope with everything you need inside. There is also a small task for you to complete if you wish to do so. We look forward to seeing some of your creations.
