Ludlow, built as a planned town, protected by the castle, over 900 years ago, is now a busy market town. The town has prospered in the past from cloth and wool manufacturing and was home to the Council of the Marches, which ruled the border counties and Wales untill 1689.
In Georgian times it was a fashionable social centre, and is now famed for it's gastronomic reputation.

There is on street parking in Ludlow, but it can be difficult and the parking wardens are very efficient, so we recomend the park and ride [just off the A49 mon. to sat] or the pay and display near the station.
Ludlow is well served by transport links; rail, road and bus services.
The cache is a small clip top box. Stealth will be required!
