This is the location of JJ's workshop in the beginning part of cannonball run. Easy Park and Grab. Bring your own writing implement, log only. 1.5 because some vertically challenged may need a TOT.
WELCOME TO CINEMA VALLEY!
Being a long time resident of Simi Valley and Movie Fan, and after seeing the small signs with cryptic names and arrows all over the place. I decided it was time to start a series of caches dedicated to the many movies and television shows that have been filmed in Simi Valley
Located so near to Hollywood (Well within the T.M.Z.), Simi Valley has long been a convenient location for the film industry dating back to the 1930's. It has become so popular with Hollywood it has earned the nickname "Cinema Valley". Simi Valley and the surrounding hills have been the site of many television series, including the long running television series Gunsmoke, Little House on the Praire and M*A*S*H. Simi Valley has also been the location of some of the biggest film like Poltergeist, Men in Black, Creature from the black Lagoon, Jurasic Park, Thor and The Big Lebowski.
FUN FACT: For those of you who don't know it TMZ isn't just a TV show and website. It means Thirty Mile Zone. Which is a long standing industy term for the spheare of influance of Hollywood. Where the Economy, Culture and daily life is effected by the Film Industry.
CANNONBALL RUN
This is the location of JJ's workshop in the beginning part of the 1981 movie cannonball run.
This one took some leg work! I heard that some of the Cannonball Run had been filmed in Simi Valley, but couldn't find a source or location. SO... I grabbed my DVD gave it a watch and had an idea where the location was. Went for a drive and low and behold there it was!
