Cape Town Cachers can easily be divided into two very distinct
groups.
Let's call them City Slickers and Mountain Goats.
City Slickers roam the streets of this City for caches in
parks, on sidewalks, beaches and in shopping centres.
They find micros and nanos with the greatest of ease.
Twenty caches for the day are rather easy to achieve.
Mountain Goats however are drawn to the paths, ledges, cliffs
and caves of Table Mountain.
When the Mountain calls their name, they come running with
Ready-packed-hiking-bags.
Sometimes a whole day will only yield one or two caches.

The idea of this cache is to get City slickers to step out of
their comfort zone.
You will not be exposed to any dangerous cliffs or tricky
scrambles.
You don't even have to be fit to do this cache.
It could be done in less than 10 minutes.
From the start of the trailhead to the cache is only about 200
metres.
Make sure to look around and enjoy the views.
To your left will be the magnificence of Table Mountain.
To your right you will have a clear view of Camps Bay.
When you get to the cache site you will find a fire
extinguisher.
Stand closer, and place your left hand on it.
Now place your right hand on the extinguished fire.
The cache is right beneath your right hand.
That was not too bad, now was it?
Now you can head back to the car if you want to.
Or you can take a leisurely stroll further along the Pipe
track.
I'm hoping you'll be choosing to explore a little bit
more.
