Geocache Description:

The cache is located in Deputy Jeff Mitchell Park (formerly known as, and still having the sign saying it's Peter Bertelsen Memorial Park), a bit off the beaten path in El Dorado Hills. Since there wasn't a cache already here, I figured it was high time that one was placed here. Parking is available in the parking lot. Park hours are sunrise to sunset, so please follow the park rules and do this one during the day. GZ is just a short walk from the parking lot to the edge of the park.

On 6/6/11, I actually climbed out from under my rock to attend an event cache, "Wonder Woman's Eleven Famine Virgo Diamonds in June," hosted by TRAKD and Pinkluver at a local pizza joint. First event cache for me in eight plus years of geocaching. It was nice to finally put faces to the logs I've been seeing. I entered my name in the raffle drawing, and whaddya know, I won this nifty cache container! I thought that was pretty cool, as I don't usually win stuff. The event was lots of fun!

The buffalo nickel and FTF honors go to... gplamy!! Well done!!
