Earlier this year "Team 43" did some power caching Route 66 and other series in California and Nevada. My favorite of all was the "Grandpa" series, where an original cache was placed to honor the CO's grandfather. The CO extended an invitation for other cachers to add to the string, commemorating grandfathers in description and design.
Well, I can't say anything more without giving this one away. It's a rough take off on my favorite of the Grandpa hides. The original was a lot better, and made all the more effective because it was placed in the middle of the desert!
What can I say? Oh, coincidentally today is my grandfather's birthday...and I didn't remember that until I was writing this up. What I remember most about him is his woodworking skills and craftsmanship. That would come in handy for making cache containers today.
There is a pull-out area near the cache. Be very careful. This is a winding country road where people drive too fast. Intended to be a quick find so you don't spend too much time parked on the shoulder. Please replace very carefully!
Congratulations KEMBORG
