Geocache Description:

This is an easy cache to find if you follow the directions. Great photo opportunity from the cache site. You will understand the meaning of True Grit when you find this cache!

Turn onto Hot Creek Hatchery/Mammouth Airport road. Stay on Hatchery road. Do not take airport turnoff. Follow road behind airport which will be on your right. Road turns to gravel. Follow along until you pass large parking lot turnout with three very large outhouses. Shortly past the three large outhouses just before the cattle crossing guard there is a small turnout on the north side. Park in the turnout and walk toward creek. Careful, very rocky terrain and sandy soil. Watch your footing.
