A short walk along the old disused railway line with views over the old original Hume Hwy.Parking at S35 05.506 E148 04.708
No access of Hume Hwy.Turn onto Jessops Lagoon Rd To parking area.Great views to Old highway and Jessops Lagoon but take extreme care as its a 30 metre straight drop down to the road below.Dont allow children to climb the bank on either side off railway line,its to dangerous.Its hard to imagine that the road just below here was once the Hume hwy and that trains from Tumut to Cottamundra trundled through here.Also take note of the cutting the railway line passed through.I imagine it would have been done with plain old manual labour[what no bobcats or excavators] Enjoy a look at a small piece of years long gone. dangerous.
