Geocache Description:

Bullanginya Lagoon

Welcome to another Blacklegend cache...

A beautiful and interesting spot. The lagoon at this location, when full covers 8 Hectares of land. At the moment, it don't think it is completely full, based on the above image. Never the less, worthy of a cache. You can walk or drive in to this if you have a 4WD. At the time of placing i was able to drive without issue to this spot. Parking coordinates are provided if you feel like a walk.

I am sure the word "Bullanginya" is Aboriginal in origin, and try as i might, i could not find a translation for it. If anyone who does the cache knows or is able to find out, it would be very much appreciated. Place names are very interesting.

There was this fantastic tree with an awesome hole right down the middle of it, check out the image below. It was to good to pass up so guess where the cache is...? This hide is about the location and bringing you to a sensational and rather unused part of the Barooga State Park.

While at this cache, why not keep walking to my Bullanginya Lagoon - Pump Station cache a little further along this track.

The cache is a plastic snap lock container about 300ml in size. It is not a hard hide. Once again, have fun and be careful with the kiddies near the water. As always in the Aussie bush, BE CAREFUL AND ON THE LOOKOUT FOR SNAKES, ESPECIALLY WITH THE KIDS. Good luck and importantly, have fun.
