4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

Mandurah's Significant Trees

Quite by accident I found a register maintained by Mandurah City Council of significant trees in the area.  Some of these trees are icons around Mandurah, others are unique examples of their species, and others are just magnificent trees, but all are worth taking a look at.
I hope you enjoy finding these natural wonders.

Jack's King Jarrah

This was the tree that resulted in me finding the register.  We come here regularly to shop and on closer examination it had an obvious location for a small cache, so I went on line to see what I could find out about it.  Up popped the register with lots of info on this and other trees in the area and a good reason for another set of caches.

I have always been intrigued by this tree and the sign on it saying your great(x15) times grandfather was a lad when this tree started growing.  This obviously predates any european history in the area and is a great "save" from the onslought of development.  I hope it survives its new environment for a long time yet.

This Cache

This cache is a bison with log only so bring your pencil and please cover over carefully when you replace the cache.
I have rated this with a difficulty of 2 as this is a very high muggle traffic area with this shopping centre open 7 days a week through to 9pm.  You will need to be stealthy on this one.
