Geocache Description:

Every backcountry area must include a cache requiring some off trail travel, preferably on game trails. That is what this cache provides.

It was serendipity though to find this location as I was hoping to place another cache back here but in reviewing the current hides it looked as though the area was saturated.

Area Appears to be full of caches

On closer inspection I noticed a small triangle available for a cache

There is a spot!

Though it’s not very big at all so the odds of something decent there to hold a cache is low.

Not very big, will there be something there to hold a hide?

So I went to check it out and low and behold there was a great spot to hold a small cache.

A nice holder for a little cache

The Cache:

A small container that only holds a log sheet and a pencil. It’s camoed with brown tape and placed in plain sight about 50’ off trail. The best approach is from the trail on the closer ridge line. The forest is fairly open here but it’s helpful to use the animal trails to better navigate around the large ferns and some bushes.
