Geocache Description:

Stroll around Marlow to collect clues, then take a short walk to find this cache.

Time: 1 to 2 hours. Terrain: wheelchair friendly.

This cache is based on a local publication called Marlow Town Walk. The above coordinates are for Marlow High Street. There is a large pay and display public car park close by at Court Garden which is at the start of the trail. However there is handy free parking down Lower Pound Lane to the west. Marlow can be reached by train or bus. The train, known locally as the Marlow Donkey, runs via Bourne End to link with the main line at Maidenhead. There is a regular bus service between Marlow and High Wycombe and also with Reading.

Marlow Town Trail

This cache is placed in homage to the original Marlow town trail puzzle cache now archived due to being muggled. To find the new hide, download the Wherigo file. File tested with Wherigo for iPhone on the iPhone4. The route is wheelchair friendly and while every effort has been made to ensure the cache is also accessible, assistance may be required. I expect that this will comfortably be done in 1-2 hours though if you have trouble with your Wherigo hardware or get distracted by the shops and pubs then your guess is as good as mine.

Wherigo In late 2001 after running for over a year, Jeremy Irish and Elias Alvord came up with an interesting challenge: How could they bring their favorite adventure games outdoors with GPS technology? After several years of experimentation and hard work they arrived at a solution. What if you could take video games outdoors? Wherigo is a platform that allows you to build location based GPS experiences on your computer and play them in the real world. Imagine playing Zork, Secret of Monkey Island or Myst, but in the park around the corner, or on the beach during your family vacation. Rather than clicking the mouse and selecting a location to move your character, you physically move from one location to the next to advance the story. Rather than searching for puzzle clues on a screen, you look for them in the real world. Using Wherigo, you can create interactive tours, adventure games and puzzles... the possibilities are endless.
