Geocache Description:

I work with a group of Venturer Scouts. One day one of the kids asked me what I would do with 11 numbers for a geocache. I came up with a few possible solutions but I needed to see the puzzle to fully try to understand what was going on. The youth then mentioned that it was his Aunt who was trying to solve a Geocaching puzzle. I asked for her geocaching name so that I could contact her. After about a month with no response, I received an e-mail from a parent of this youth. She was passing the information on to me about the puzzle and, more importantly, a Geocaching name. Well, that was the start of it.

Buddysally is retired. This gives her a lot of time to do anything that she wants. This does seem to include a lot of time babysitting the grandkids. In order to keep her mind active, she started Geocaching. There are a lot of puzzles out there that can drive someone nuts but they can keep the mind stimulated as well. Her husband believes that she has gone complete crazy from time to time.

I was able to help a little with one of the puzzles that Buddysally was having problems with at that time. I also discussed the fun and wonderful Binthair challenge. Buddysally is not one to sit out a challenge. We started e-mailing each other on a regular basis about these interesting puzzles. I watched as Buddysally completed one after another of the puzzles. I guess that I was not paying that much attention because all of the sudden she had completed more of the challenge than I had. Now instead of me helping her out, she was now helping me out. It has been great to have someone to work with on these puzzles. I hope that we keep working together on many more puzzles in the future.

Buddysally has placed quite a few caches for us all to enjoy. I expect that there will be a lot more in the future. She is willing to go caching almost any time (of course grandkids take precedents). I am very happy to have Buddysally as a friend.

The Cache: Is not located at the posted coordinates. But it is close by. Please note that this area is wet at certain times of the year and will have lots of mosquitoes during the summer.

A - B - C - D - E - F - G - H - I
- S - T - U - V - W - X - Y - Z

The letters A to I represent the numbers 1 to 9. A number can not be used for more than one letter. Since D = 1 no other letter from A to I can be equal to 1. E = 8 and I = 3 just to help out.
The second row of letters from S to Z represent the numbers 1 to 8. As with the first line, a number can only represent a single letter. V = 7.

The puzzle is that the numbers in the second line are the difference between the two corresponding numbers in the first line. S = A minus B or S = B minus A. V = E minus D so 7 = 8 – 1. Good luck.
