Geocache Description:

An easy cache at an old mine site with a great view. 4wd accessible to the mine, but better to park on the road and walk 300metres in. Read the note for the Parking Waypoint!
National Park so no dogs!
If you are driving from Hidden Falls, note Neioffs Rd is steep and rubbly - may not be suitable for 2wds.

This area was mined for gold and more recently (up to the 1970s?) tin. Quite a few old mining relics around including the loading hopper and concrete foundations. Walk up the hill from GZ to the old mine (more a quarry) and down hill to the hopper. Keep geokids away from one big cliff - great views to Wangaratta and the Warbies!
Cache is a round Systema container with log, pencil, numbat toy, keyring and Ned Kelly statue.
I'd appreciate any info about the mine!
