Fridley Tornado-1965 Traditional Cache

I have witnessed/been involved in 3 tornado systems in Fridley. The worst was May 6th 1965. You know it is bad when the tornado rips the caps from the foundation blocks from homes in your neighborhood while you are home. The stormchasing TV shows are not a good idea to promote safety. Forget the camera and take cover. If you have heard that a tornado sounds like a train going overhead, it does-respect it and keep yourself and your family safe. I gained a lot of respect for the National Guard, Law Enforcement, and Fire/Rescue at an early age from this event. Thank-you for your service.
