Geocache Description:

Well the long waited for and anticipated 5th installment in my Stupid Latin Names Series is finely here!
I loved it in the Road runner show when they gave stupid fake Latin names to Willy E. Coyote Like "Coyotecus Stupidous". So, I decided to do the same with some of my caches. Please be careful to put the container back together tightly and exactly as you find it. It is easy cache with good off road parking.

Ficus is a pan-tropical genus of trees, shrubs and vines occupying a wide variety of ecological niches; most are evergreen, but some deciduous species are endemic to areas outside of the tropics and to higher elevations. This species of trees are characterized by their unique inflorescence and distinctive pollination syndrome, which utilizes wasp species belonging to the Agaonidae family for pollination.
An inflorescence is a group or cluster of flowers arranged on a stem that is composed of a main branch or a complicated arrangement of branches.
The specific identification of many of the species of these trees can be difficult, but as a group are relatively easy to recognize. Many have aerial roots and a distinctive shape or habit, and their fruits distinguish them from other plants. The fruit is an enclosed inflorescence, an urn-like structure lined on the inside with the fig's tiny flowers. The unique pollination system, involving tiny, highly specific wasps, that enter these closed inflorescences to both pollinate and lay their own eggs, has been a constant source of inspiration and wonder to biologists.
