Train Of Thought Traditional Cache
Mattydred: Taking this one down due to inability to maintain in the future, and its proximity to a railroad. I've been reading horror-stories (Peekskill, NY fiasco on 9/13/2011), and have second thoughts on its placement.

Medium-sized lock & lock along the banks of the Androscoggin River near the Topsham & Lisbon Falls town line. Nice views nearby of the river and falls. Also located nearby is the Pejepscot Boat Launch, making this a nice multi-recreational grab. FTF Prize is a Trackable proximity coin taken from GC17HKQ in New Hampshire. This baby's been around.

"On February 15, 1860, the Maine Legislature acted to authorize the extension of the Androscoggin and Kennebec Railroad from Leeds to the Kennebec River in Topsham. This brought the line into Lisbon in 1861. The Maine Central Railroad took over in 1971. At its height of activities, 16 passenger and 4 freight trains would travel through in a 24 hour period. Passenger train service ended in 1931 and was replaced for a period of time by bus service."
