A Family-Friendly multi-cache in Vincent Massey Park
Take your kids for a walk around the park and have a look at the new facilities that have been added to the park. Kids will be able to count the necessary items, and then figure out where the cache is hidden. At placement, the cache was stuffed with toys for the kids.
There is a parking fee for the park during the summer months, but you can park at other locations nearby (RA Centre, Hogs Back Park) if you are willing to walk a modest distance.
The following is taken from the NCC web site. Vincent Massey Park was developed in the 1950s as a key part of the NCC’s expansion of urban parks in the Capital. The park is approximately 22 hectares in size and has a number of buildings that are critical to the support of social gatherings in a large regional park. The rehabilitation project, which began in summer 2010, was undertaken to rehabilitate the existing heritage structures, the concession, bus shelter and entrance pavilion, as well as to undertake site rehabilitation, enabling several further generations of use.
