This cache is placed at the end of Ormsgill lane where it now meets up with park road being the A590.
The right of way from Ormsgill farm through Cocken Tunnel to North Scale was made by the monks and survived until the late 20th century
The original lane used to carry on towards Coken tunnel and can still be accessed from following park road up till you once again pick up Ormsgill lane. It’s strange how this tiny piece of lane holds so much wildlife trees and plants within such a small distance in between some very busy roads.
