A stroll around a public esplanade goes around the outside of a razor wire fence behind which there are old bunkers. The western side of the fence at the gate is now open to the public to inspect the bunkers. There are good views across the upper Waitemata Harbour from this cache site.
Bring your own pen or pencil.
Cache is 35mm film canister.
In winter the trail can be muddy in places.
Hobsonville Point Rd gives access to "The Landing" from where you can drive south around the shore to Bomb Point. Locate the start of the trail at the NW corner of the razor wire fence.
First to Find goes to funkymunkyzone, in the dark and rain, within a couple of hours of cache being posted.
