Geocache Description:

PROUD MEMBER OF GEOCACHINGMAINE.ORG

Zebra Finches originate from Australia. Zebras live in open grasslands with some bushes and trees, in dry areas over most of Australia. They live in groups and eat mostly grass seeds (in the wild, not as a pet!). They build their nests in bushes out of grass, straw, feathers and anything else they can find. They lay 3-6 eggs and both parents participate in raising the young. The currently accepted taxonomic nomenclature for the Zebra is "Taeniopygia guttata castanotis". On average, Zebra finches live to be 4-8 years of age. This is a PNG cache cleverly camouflaged in the wrong color! There is room to fully pull out of traffic, but be careful exiting and entering your car. The purpose of this cache is to help fellow cachers with the Maine Alphanumeric Challenge. At the time of this cache's publication, I need 5 more caches to complete this challenge and this 'Z' is one of the letters that I am lacking. I know I can't find my own cache, but I'm sure that if I need a 'Z', others do too! Congrats to Upsalquitch on the FTF!
