Lei Yue Mun due to geographical advantages in the early fifties, there was quarrying mining industry. The establishment of the quarry provided a large number of jobs in the past and quite a number of residents worked in the quarry.
At that time, due to traffic inconvenience, to server a large number of quarry transport to other places, residents had built a pier at the beach for large barges. To facilitate the dumping of quarry on the barge, pier extending from the shore to the middle of the sea, seemingly half of a broken bridge, so the local residents called "Broken Bridge." January 2002, "Broken Bridge" collapsed because of lack of maintenance, now in the village with only a terminal site.
The face of economic restructuring, quarries have closed at the late sixties , leaving only the existing quarry site for people to review its past economic development in Lei Yue Mun brilliant fragments.
