Geocache Description:

The cache is a large metal ammo tin.
This cache comes in two parts...
Given co-ords will lead you to a local church...
When you reach this destination you must decipher the clues to get further co-ords.
We would advise wellies for the final part as with our rather unreliable welsh weather it can get rather soggy and muddy underfoot and there is a bit of an uphill scramble to GZ..

St Ciwg's Parish Church
Llangiwg, near Pontardawe
This church was founded in the sixth century A.D. by Ciwg, an early Christian
hermit, said to be descended from a noble Celtic family. The church is located
in what was once a central position for the local rural population, but when
industrialisation took place in the Swansea Valley, the church became isolated.

If memory serves, we believe you're supposed to walk around the Yew Tree (located at the side of church) 13 times at midnight to see the corpse hanging in the tree...
I'm sure that was the reason we used to avoid the place...
Its a rather Old myth that one, not that we've ever plucked up the courage to try it!..
Maybe you'll be up for the challenge...

Within a few meters of the tree is the lepers window, this was constructed
so that "unclean lepers" could watch the priest celebrating communion.

Leprosy is often also referred to as Hansen's disease, after the discoverer of the bacterium. While in ancient history, the term leprosy has been used to denote a wide range of afflictions that cause boils, sores, or other skin diseases, in modern usage it refers exclusively to Hansen's disease as caused by Mycobacterium leprae.
