Geocache Description:

Part of the Stoned in Kilmarnock series, some urban caches to boost the few caches that Kilmarnock has.
.
This cache is wheelchair accessible.
.
Do not attempt to park nearby on the main road, perhaps park at Dean Castle Country park or further up the road away from the narrow part at the ford.

In the 1800's this was the site of 'Bonnetmakers Mill'. Some time in the early 1900's it was replaced by Darkpath Cottage which stood until the 70's. In the 80's a housing development covered the area.
.
The ford seems to have been a crossing point over the Kilmarnock Water for at least 200 years. In 1905 the Lauder Bridge was opened for pedestrians.

Now back to the cache, its a well disguised small plastic tube. You will have to have a good search for this one. Remember what the series is called.
