Geocache Description:

The cache is in the vicinity of what used to be the South Charleston Eastern Little League/Staunton Elementary complexes. You can park on either the Marshall parking lot or on the Staunton Ave. side. During business/school hours, you will probably encounter plenty of muggles. Be stealthy!

What a time I had reminiscing while hunting two other caches, and placing this one. I spent a good part of my youth playing ball and going to school at this location. The batting cage, baseball and softball fields, bleachers, and smell of hot dogs from the concession stand... I had to take a minute to pause in the parking lot and imagine where everything used to be. As you can tell, this place was and is special to me, so it was a perfect area to hide my first cache. The cache is a regular to small tupperware type container. There will be a little climbing (not rock climbing, just hiking/walking), and some walking bent over through overgrowth. I didn't encounter many briars nor any poison ivy. If you have children with you, you will want to keep them close, due to the terrain. J (my daughter) is six years old, and would have no problem going to this place, but I would keep her closer than usual. Please place cache back exactly as you found it, including the measures I took to hide it. Easiest to access by entering the woods at the top of the hill, behind the former elementary school. Original contents: 1 logbook (in ziploc bag) 2 pencils 1 pen 1 bracelet 1 bracelet kit 1 Harry Potter rubber bracelet 1 rubber ball (baseball themed, of course) 1 matchbox type plastic car 2 rain forest frog necklaces -a little something for the FTF- Happy hunting!
