Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates. But, information for stage one of this "numbers run" can be found there.

I am not very good at numbers runs. Perhaps it is because I am not very good with numbers. Honestly, it can be a little embarrassing at times. Just the other day, my wife sent me to a location near the posted coordinates with a number of things to be cleaned. I mixed up a significant amount of them and could not remember the multitude of instructions she gave me. Perhaps I accidentally dropped them in the mailbox when I was sending off my bills? I am just hoping nothing gets shrunk this time and that I didn’t send my wife’s cleaners instructions to the gas company again.

Afterwards she asked me to go straighten out the mess I had created at waypoint two. Actually, I had to go to both establishments there. It seems the last time I was here I gave the people who handle the lending of words my numbers and the people who handle my numbers the words I had borrowed. I must have put H.A. Rey on deposit and tried to use my ATM card to borrow Dumas père or something. I am telling you, this is bad. My wife says I have a disability.

Once I straightened out the mess above, I was off to waypoint three where my wife wanted me to pick up a book study for the monthly gathering she has with a few ladies she knows. The study was on the Book of Numbers. I don’t really understand why they called it that anyway. Based upon my interpretation it is more about aimless wandering than it is about anything significantly numerical.

After picking up the study, my wife asked me to stop by the nearby fishing beach (waypoint four) my oldest son and I sometimes frequent. She seems to think my little racer had misplaced his number car there the last time we were out. I didn’t have the heart to tell her I knew otherwise, so I stopped by to see a small gathering of kids reeling in some whoppers. Honestly, I was a bit jealous of the size of their catch. My son and I had been out several times already this year and hadn’t caught a thing. I was also thinking a few of them weren’t from the neighborhood. I wonder why they let just anyone fish here these days?

I had just sat behind the wheel to head home when my cell phone rang. My wife called in a fit of rage. Apparently some skater-punk boys were picking on my sons while my family was visiting Lewis Park (waypoint five). She said they didn’t belong there anyway and asked if I could go over and give those kids a piece of my mind. As if I have any to spare! I told her her she could count on me as long as it didn’t involve any actual counting on my part, that is.
