I had orignally place the "Portage" cache near this site a number of years ago. Then a Scout project and other improvements changed this area a lot! Many improvements to the landing area, pavement, a floating dock, and room to park a few trailers. And you can now also see the foundation of the old Blair Hotel. This was a very overgrown area and has been cleaned up and some landscaping done in front. There is a good bit of history on the sign at this location.
