Crooked Creek



Crooked Creek Rest Area is a great spot to call into whether it be for a 10 minute driving break – or to camp a few days.

It’s located on the Bruxner Highway 32 kms west of Tabulam and 40 kms east of Tenterfield. Entry is on a signposted, narrow, slightly downhill track.

The area is maintained by NSW State Forest, and there are no charges for camping. It’s a very popular spot in Motorhome circles, as it’s quite accessible and there’s plenty of room for a large gathering. There is one undercover table and toilets on site. There’s a wood-burning BBQ and a nice little billabong close by.  There are plenty of places to walk and explore too. The creek itself is clear and a great spot for a dip on a hot day.

The cache is a regular sized lock and lock container. Please rehide well. Watch for snakes in warmer weather.
