Geocache Description:

This cache is located in a spot of town that previously paid tribute to the riverboat men who worked along the Dan River in the late 1700s and during the 1800s. Now, there is another beautiful mural that displays history about our little town. This is a newer spot in town, created as a memorial and also helps to beautify an area that once was thriving.

The benches make for a nice break and the mural adds to make the area a beautiful scene. Sit down and take time to enjoy the area while you're there. Use caution and watch for the muggles around. Usually. you'll find traffic flowing by constantly. **NOTE: 6/27/2023- I changed the location to right around the original coordinates. I have decided to do this because I have replaced this cache several times. Maybe by relocating it, it has a better change of staying around for a while.
