Cache placed near the bridge, with the help of N.C.
The route starts at the Levada along a secondary road bagacina and has a length of approximately 3 km, with a low degree of difficulty. The animal species are essentially impossible to observe birds from the Azores, as the woodcock (Scolopax rusticola), blackbird (Turdus merula azorensis), the star (Regulus regulus inermis) and chaffinch (Fringilla coelebes moreletti). Before starting the trail of Levada, the passage is suggested by the head of the Thirty. This hill is part of the Capelo Volcanic Complex, and consists of an old volcanic cone of basalt. We can go beyond this geological structure, you can enter it through a tunnel and visit the center of this ancient volcano crater, covered now by natural vegetation such as heather (Erica azorica), holly (Ilex azorica) bracel -do-mato (Festuca jubata), please (Daboecia azorica) polipódio (polypodium azoricum) Tolpis azorica and rapa-language (Rubia agostinhoi). At the beginning of the trail taken itself there is a water storage tank with a total capacity to about 1,400 m³. The channels of the tanks and taken in that area belong to the best old hydroelectric engineering project in the Azores, built around 1963.
