This one was hidden by my daughter. You are looking for quite possibly the cutest cache container ever. Kid friendly and easy peasy. BYOP!
Access Info (added 7/20/11)
- From 57th Street, turn south on S. Old Yankton Road and take this street all the way to the station.
- From 69th Street, go west of the station to W. Ralph Rogers road and turn north. Take this street to S. Old Yankton Road and turn right/south. Take this street all the way to the station.
Welcome to Fire Station #4! This station opened in 2003 and is dedicated in memory of Lt. Mike Andersen.
A little personal trivia, this station was the catalyst for my family moving to South Dakota. As the department was expanding and growing, it opened up new firefighter positions. My husband got one of the new positions when this station opened and we've been South Dakotans ever since.
Cache placed with permission from Jeff Helm, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue Battalion Chief. I stopped into the station and chatted with Captain Button and got his okay before hiding as well.
