Geocache Description:


This cache was placed to mark a long lost cemetery in the Jamesville area. A friend and I were hiking to the new boat ramp at the end of Astoria Road when out of the corner of my eye I caught site of something that didn’t belong. We worked our way back through the woods to find several tombstones amongst the trees.

The coordinates are an average of several readings I took the day the cache was placed. The tree cover wreaked havoc on my GPS and will probably do the same for yours. The 2.5 difficulty is in consideration of this expected hazard.

This cache was placed with permission of the landowner. Please be careful entering the woods as there is some old trash strewn about. Also, please be respectful of the cemetery during your visit.
